First ER visit

So is it fate that in the second week of knowing I am pregnant and after my first appointment, and my first week back to work after finding out that I find myself in the ER for my asthma. I didn't want to go to the ER but I has started the week with a small cold that messed with my asthma.

I have had asthma since I was born it seems so I am pretty good at managing it, however with the pregnancy I was unsure about how much of my proair I should be using, which was what the appointment on monday is for. I had planned on just making an appointment with my regular doctor on Thursday night, but after a long conversation with an advise nurse and the doctor at the call center they sent me to the ER.

I was rather annoyed with this as I felt like everything was fine, but because of the pregnancy Kasier was being extra careful which I understand but found still annoying. So off to the ER we went at 8:30 at night, checked in and a hundred dollars later (that's the amount of our co-pay) I had an ER doctor ask why I was even there and was told that my oxygen level was 100%.

They did hook me up for an asthma treatment and then set me home. We got home around 1 am on Friday. Got to love hospitals 4 hours for 30 minutes of treatment. They put me on a low dose of predisone for 5 days, which I was told would be fine for the baby.

I also missed work on Friday for which I was additionally annoyed because I had a lot to do, but four hours of sleep just was not going to cut it and I needed rest not just for me but for the little "it" as well. But I do now know I can take my proair every 4 hours as needed so at least I got some good info out of the experience even if it was a little more expenseive then necessary.
