Birthing Class or not...ummm... not

So yesterday we were signed up for a birthing class however we signed up prior to me being put on bed rest. Until Saturday we fully intended to go but as we got up we realized that we just didn't want to. Truthfully Adam had been talking to some of the other girls at work who had just had babies and they stated it was all a waste of time, and I was thinking that it was 8 hours and I was supposed to be on bed rest so that didn't sound very good for me. So we didn't go and decided that we would just research the topics that they would have gone over online later on this week. Instead Adam and I finished shopping for Tom's room. It needed to be done and we really didn't have any other time to do it. So instead of being out of bed for 8 hours I was only out for 4 which sounds at lot better to me, and at the end of the 4 I was done. I realized that I would have never made it through 8 hours at the end of 4 I was so tired and hot, and didn't feel well. So home we came for a cold shower and some naps. So no we didn't go to the birthing class do I feel bad about that? No. We got the rest of the items we need, and now I can be a good girl and bed rest all day today.

babyshower's and bed rest

So truthfully I have been super tired everyday after work and didn't even get on the computer. So now time to update:

On June 13th I had my 1st baby shower and it was awesome. All of our good friends and family were there we had some yummy food and played some games it seems like everyone had a good time. We also got some great gifts that I am still going through, most of it is still in the garage.

The following week on June 18th Kendra threw me a work shower which was fun as well. I got to get away from my desk and have some really yummy cake with a few of Adam and mine work friends.

Over that week I had developed swollen feet thinking it was not that bad I waited until Monday to go in for an appointment. Which we discovered not only was my feet, hands, and nose swollen but my blood pressure was very high. I was rushed over to labor and delivery where I had to be monitored. My blood pressure never went down, so now I am on bed rest at home and off of work. I do have to go in every few days to be checked out and we will see where this will lead but for now I just get to stay home and watch t.v. You wouldn't think that this would be so bad but I already miss having people to talk to everyday and I think that only being able to sit or lay around is going to get boring real fast. But that's where I am now home and will be for quite some time.

Labor and Delivery

So on Monday night Adam and I went to our late pregnancy class and tour. The class was really informative and the tour was awesome, it was neat to see where we will be in a few weeks... or so I thought.

Yesterday I had a check up and Thomas was not moving to much so they rushed me over to labor and delivery to do a stress test. Needless to to say the only one now stressed out was me. Thomas was perfectly fine heart rate and oxygen was good. It was an interesting experience and not something I want to repeat any time soon. I thought he was just being quiet and sure enough once they gave me some apple juice he was as an active as he has ever been.

Sneaking In . . . .

Mwaahhaaa. . . I've managed to gain access to our blog, and I will show you all that my wife isn't the only one who can blog :-) That's so not true, what is the likelihood I'll blog on any regular basis . . . oh well, if you see red text, it's Adam, otherwise it's Lauren. . see it's an easy system to follow . . . . wow I've spent way too much time with the opening of this blog. . .

Anyway, so we got a new camcorder (THANK YOU VERY MUCH MOM & DAD :-*) and I can already envision myself as one of those idiot fathers who video tapes. . . EVERYTHING!!! So once I actually videotape something . . .we'll have video-blogs to come :-)
