babyshower's and bed rest

So truthfully I have been super tired everyday after work and didn't even get on the computer. So now time to update:

On June 13th I had my 1st baby shower and it was awesome. All of our good friends and family were there we had some yummy food and played some games it seems like everyone had a good time. We also got some great gifts that I am still going through, most of it is still in the garage.

The following week on June 18th Kendra threw me a work shower which was fun as well. I got to get away from my desk and have some really yummy cake with a few of Adam and mine work friends.

Over that week I had developed swollen feet thinking it was not that bad I waited until Monday to go in for an appointment. Which we discovered not only was my feet, hands, and nose swollen but my blood pressure was very high. I was rushed over to labor and delivery where I had to be monitored. My blood pressure never went down, so now I am on bed rest at home and off of work. I do have to go in every few days to be checked out and we will see where this will lead but for now I just get to stay home and watch t.v. You wouldn't think that this would be so bad but I already miss having people to talk to everyday and I think that only being able to sit or lay around is going to get boring real fast. But that's where I am now home and will be for quite some time.

  1. Oh sister I feel your pain! With Ethan I was borderline for preeclampsia-blood pressure, swelling, etc. This time though I have been a little more lucky. Good thing you only have a few more weeks to get through. I know right now it seems boring to be at home but trust me, when the time comes that you have to go back to work you will wish you had more time, so enjoy it! Watch movies, eat yummy food (and don't share), take naps because you can, indulge in steamy soap operas...all the things that you won't be doing once this little one is born! Seriously, the food thing is the one thing I missed when E was born. I think it was like 4 or 5 months before I got my first hot meal. Every time I was ready to eat so was he! And at 6 months we started him on regular food so he wanted to always have his hand in our dinner. I have not had a meal to myself for 2 years!
